they came and searched all afternoon for the septic tank but couldn't find it. Alan came home and went under the cottage and showed them where the pipe came out, so they started to poke with the pokey rod couldn't find it. Then they decided to just dig along the pipe.
Alan is watching to see how they do.
As they dug along they followed the pipe. Alan noticed a wire but figured it was just some old thing left over from days gone by.
They dug along and they went quite deep too
they finally found it, the reason they couldn't find it with the pokey rod was that it is plastic and not concrete or metal, so they didn't hear it hit anything. Mystery solved.
there it is and isn't that just the cutest little digger they used. Harold would love to play with that thing I'm sure.
There it is our lovely little septic tank. Oh My!
all that work they had to leave but came back the next day to
It seemed to be quite full......YUK!!!!!
this piece was partly broken but there was another piece that was completely broken.
They wire that they broke while digging was our telephone line.
this piece was partly broken but there was another piece that was completely broken.
So Alan borrowed some wire from our neighbour Lindsey and put it all back together and had the phone and internet working in a little while.
Job well done Alan and E A Mackay and co
in this picture Lindsey looks like my dad...pretty neat because he doesn't look at all like him.
