painted most of the day

this is with one coat of primer and one coat of Cottage White

this one has the 2 coats of Cottage White-so thats the colour of the woodwork.

this is the finished colour as well.

Next will be the precoat then the paper on the top of the wall.

Alan tackled the livingroom walls, sure makes it look bright in there now...I still love the flooring but it will be changed.

Wow! doesn't it look great all primed up? It will be great to have it all painted.

We ordered the kitchen cabinets from Ikea and the flooring is ordered. They will probably come in at the same time in a couple of weeks and then things will really change.

I meet with the electrician tomorrow to see about what it will take to change the fuse box to a panel...that should be interesting. Its coming along very well, we think..

I took the border off the bedroom, getting ready to paint

Alan filled the holes in the walls after we took the paper off. Getting ready to paper.

more of the holes filled can't wait to get the paper up and paint the wood.

leveling it up

hello all....today I stayed in town and Alan and Harold went out and jacked up the cottage and put the blocks under it so now the floor is level.
Now its time to sit down and decide what the next move 1. tear the kitchen walls down and see what has to be done to open it all up 2. start on the kitchen etc...
It was hard to be at work in the shop knowing they were at the cottage having fun....hee hee

Harold came to help out today he lugged all the old carpet away to the wast depot as well as ripping out stuff

I took the closet out of the laundry room

We'd like to put a door out here to lead to the new deck, but it might be too low...to be continued.....

We took the brick off the wall and the Island stone from under the stove and I put it out on the muddy wet path.

the Stove is going so we can tear the wall down

these are shots of Alan when he came out from under the cottage, just a little muddy.

So we went to see the cottage and walk on the beach on Sunday May 8th. We met our new neighbours Madonna and Lesley Parkman, over from Newfoundland working at the crab processing plant in Belle River.
The Black Flies were really plentiful....not such a nice thing.
The walk on the beach was wonderful. This place makes us very Happy....I hope that feeling contines while we do the renovations......
